Dear prospective candidates,

The selections will proceed according to the following schedule:

18:10 - 100 m

18:20 - 400 m

18:25 - 800 m

18:40 - 1500 m

19:00 - 200 m

19:10 - 3000 m

19:35 - 5000 m

Although there may be changes in the timing, the order will remain the same.

Please ensure that you are present at the stadium, warmed up, and ready before 18:00, regardless of the time for your chosen discipline.

You can use the changing rooms in the Grand Sports Hall for changing clothes. Simply inform the attendant that you are here for the Athletics Team selections if stopped.

April 17th, Wednesday, 18.00, Devrim Stadium

Those who wish to participate athletics competitions (Ünilig, Field day) in May representing METU, are welcommed to attend the selection on April 17th 2024, Wednesday, at 18.00, Devrim Stadium.

Everyone is invited!

You are not required to be a member of METU Athletics Team to attend to selections and to possibly be selected to compete. But you are required to attend selections to compete representing METU in any University Competition.

Selections are going to encompass running events!

The selections are for track running events (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m).

If you wish to compete in jump or throw events, you have to contact us.

Come on, try yourself!

If you are unsure about competing, come and try yourself in selections. Since the selections (with speaker-amplified start signal, photo-finish, starting blocks) are going to be close to what you will possibly experience in the real competitions, you will both get an accurate assessment of your current level and get a feeling of how a real competition might be.

Make-up is the next day!

If you are not going to make it to April 17th's selections, we are going to have a more minimal (without speakers, without computer-aided photo-finish) selection the next day at the same time and place.
